ABOUT US

Stonington Harbor Yacht Club was founded in 2002 by avid sailors with a simple vision to create an inclusive and welcoming club of boaters in our community to celebrate a shared love of the sea. The initial club was “virtual" and founding members took turns hosting events in their homes and local venues, and organized cruising and racing events across our New England waters. 

In 2004 the current clubhouse was purchased in the historic Monsanto Building, giving the growing membership a physical home. The Club’s current membership of over 250 families continues to warmly welcome boaters and landlubbers alike.
