Ideal 18

Sailing is the perfect activity for anyone who enjoys water sports and outdoor recreation. Stonington Harbor Yacht Club maintains a fleet of Ideal 18 boats for our members and their guests to use. The Ideal 18 is a fun day-sailing keelboat that provides a stable platform, comfortable for a wide range of sailors.  From your first sail to a casual afternoon harbor cruise or participation in the Stonington Harbor Wednesday Night Racing series, our fleet is capable of meeting the needs of sailors of all abilities.  The public is invited to sail Saturday mornings, 10:00 am-12:00 pm, subject to the availability of a qualified Stonington Harbor Yacht Club member.  Please make reservations through the SHYC front desk (860) 535-0112 at least five business days in advance.  Participation is limited to two outings per individual.  The cost is $25 per person.  Stonington Harbor Yacht Club welcomes new members!
