Performed in Italian with English subtitles. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, SHYC presents Gioachino Rossini's hilarious romantic comedy The Barber of Seville.  Madcap barber-turned-matchmaker Figaro assists a nobleman's quirky attempts to woo the beautiful young Rosina out from the clutches of her overprotective guardian.  The cast features Kathleen Battle, Rockwell Blake, Leo Nucci, Enzo Dara and Ferruccio Furlanetto with Ralf Weikert conducting the Metropolitan Opera.   Sung in Italian with English subtitles.  A special Spanish dinner will be served at intermission.
